- I think a gay free prom is fine, IF the school itself is a gay free school. Proms should be for all students or segment (such as year in school such as a Junior or a Senior) but not limited to the nuances of the student body.

- I thought it odd many years ago when my brother told me that he had joined the Girl Scouts and could because there was not a Boy Scout troop available to join. We are talking 40 years ago or so. Evidently, this is not unheard of.

- Pedophiles seek out organizations that they can join working with children. The organizations have a difficult time identifying some pedophiles as they do not always have a record as they have not been prosecuted yet.

- Joe, you obviously do not know hat you are taking about. The prognosis for children with lukemia is quite good, somewhere around 75% survival rate. (And that figure is old.) Saying that she is going to die anyway is like saying that any one of us is going to die, which is true at some time.

- this just illustrates how our systems work. Programs for this segment of society are underfunded. As they are underfunded the jobs are low pay. Because they are low pay jobs the quality of people filling the jobs is often less than desireable. The job Blue was doing is not an easy one.

- I do not find it surprising that cars built for women in mind flop. The publishing industry has known this for years. Books written for girls will be read by girls only and books written for boys are read by both sexes.

- The article read that the flight attendants were "flight attendant-slash-models." Models rarely if ever have a choice of what they will wear. They either wear what they are told or they do not work.
